DR SUDEEP CHAWLA
GP Partner
MB BS. FRCGP. PGCME. I am partner of the practice working closely with our Practice Manager on the strategic direction for the practice and helping with the overall running of the practice. I have a keen interest in dermatology (skin complaints), minor surgery and joint injections. I am also a GP trainer and appraiser. I have worked with the team and patients of Wingerworth for 17 years and proud of our achievements to date.

MBChB, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH, PGCertMedEd, FRCGP I qualified from Sheffield University in 2002 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2006. As well as my work at Wingerworth I am a training programme director on the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Dales GP training programme and a mentor for doctors is GP-s, I also teach medical students from Sheffield and write educational articles for DFTB. I host a medical humanities podcast called Bedside Reading. My main interests are in medical education and in reproductive and child health. I am a trained contraceptive coil and implant fitter as well as doing joint injections

DR SARAH TODD

BMedSci, MBChB, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH, MRCGP. I qualified from Sheffield University in 2002 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2006. I enjoy the variety of health problems we meet in general practice, but my particular interests are reproductive and child health. I am a trained contraceptive implant fitter as well as doing joint injections. As well as my work at Wingerworth I have a voluntary role as a peer mentor for Adoption UK in South Yorkshire. I am passionate about advocating for children and families in the care system and beyond.

Cert. in Med. Education I qualified from Sheffield Medical School in 2012 and completed my Foundation years in Leeds and Harrogate. I did my GP training in Chesterfield and finished in 2019. I am the Palliative Care Lead at Wingerworth, and also thinking about ways we can reduce out carbon footprint as Green Lead.

I qualified from Sheffield Medical School in 2018 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2024. I love the variety of working in general practice and have a particularly interest in Ear, Nose and Throat medicine (ENT). In addition to being a GP I also work in Chesterfield Royal Hospital in the ENT department.

JESSICA MITCHELL
I completed my undergraduate training at University of Nottingham and graduated with an MPharm in 2015. I completed my pre-registration training in community pharmacy and qualified as a Pharmacist in 2016. I moved to general practice in 2020 as I was keen to develop my role in patient care. I am involved in medication reviews, hypertension reviews, audits, quality improvement, monitoring medication and ensuring safe prescribing.

In March 2020, whilst under the support of WMC and within the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, I started a degree at The University of Derby to become a Registered Nursing Associate, which I achieved First Class Honours. Within my role at WMC I provide services such as Phlebotomy, blood pressures, ECG, Diabetic Foot checks and some injections. Now that I am qualified, I am looking to gain extra training so I can provide more services.
BEVERLEY COLE

After working in various NHS and private care settings for many years I was seconded, as a mature student, to do my Adult Nurse RCN training at Chesterfield Royal Hospital through the University of Derby. Once qualified I worked as Staff Nurse on a surgical ward at CNDRH before moving to Leeds where I worked as a Practice Nurse for over 12 years. As a treatment room nurse I am experienced in carrying out dressings, blood tests, children and adult vaccines, smears, ECG's, and other routine health promotion and monitoring. Having recently returned to Derbyshire, I am happy to get the opportunity to join WMC team providing personal, evidence based care to the local community.
HAYLEY HEWITT

I qualified as RGN in 1990 working initially in hospital based Renal Care and ITU / CICU environments before transitioning to Practice Nursing in 2003, subsequently working in a number of GP Practices and gaining relevant qualifications and experience in most aspects of Practice Nursing and long-term disease management including Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Heart Failure & Secondary Care and Women’s Health. I have a particular interest in Respiratory Medicine and held the position of Specialist Respiratory Nurse for three years, providing a support service to GP Practices throughout Northern England and Northern Ireland, and more recently in a community-based role. I feel a real sense of reward when listening to and working with patients and colleagues with the aim of increasing understanding, improving health outcomes and quality of life.

Practice Manager
The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
